Nutrition Education Classes

SeniorAge Nutrition Education programs include cooking classes and demos, taste tests, and recipes with the goal of educating the community about cooking healthy meals on a tight budget, especially with fruits and vegetables.

Typically offered once or twice every month or two months. Meet 30 minutes to 1 hour for each class.

  • Topics may include food preparation, shopping on a budget, healthy habits–challenges and solutions, colorful eating, nutrition and physical activity, reading food labels, gardening, eating well, etc.
  • Food samples, recipes, cooking utensils, etc. may be available at some of the classes.

*These classes mat be offered by SeniorAge staff, University of Missouri Extension's Family Nutritin Education program (FNEP) educator, or by other community outreach educators.
